Brynnly Summer Update

You've started falling asleep ANYWHERE...

Its been especially entertaining when you do it in your seat at the table while you're eating!

You're just growing so much, it is exhausting!!  Funny girl.

 You LOVE Princesses!

Ever since Disneyland it has become an obsession.

You carry around stuffed Princess dolls constantly, and not just one at a time, all 5 at a time!

On this Friday (8/6) you got to go to a Princess Birthday Party so we dressed you up and you loved it.

You were absolutely ADORABLE!!

It makes me think, "This is my first party, but not my last!"

You are sooo full of personality!

You're adorable inside and out.

You are talking a TON!

You want to be FIRST to open or knock on a door, you have a FIT if someone is in front of you when we walk up to a door.

You are getting so close to potty training- you are fascinated with poop and ask to see your poop in your diaper every time we change you, "see Binny's poop in diaper" you  say.  I have to show you or you get so mad and when I do show you, you wince and say "ewwww".  You're funny!

 We took a road trip (your FIRST) to Arizona to be with your Cousin Kayla for her Mom's funeral.

It was a sad time, but you and your siblings helped make her feel happy.

She was so glad to meet you and hang out with us all!

 You were so good in the car...mostly.

You are a demanding little thing, but as long as we had GUM and other treats we were able to appease most of your freak outs.  You loved listening to a Dora CD and playing with Dad's phone, the "thnoopy" game.

 Once we'd been at it for 6 hours (not even the half way point) we took a break at the Monticello Temple and you were less than thrilled to have to get back in the car....

 Plus you wanted to go INSIDE the temple.

It was pretty funny...but sad too.

 Being with Kayla was AWESOME!

You took right to her instantly.

 Im so thankful for family!

Kayla is a blessing in our lives.  She is an amazing little girl, full of love and kindness.  I hope we can always be close to her.  You're so lucky to have a cousin!

You're TWO!! Woo-Hoo!!

Happy Birthday My Darling Baby Girl!
You are two!  Has it really been 2 whole years already?

It seems impossible that 2 years ago I was scared out of my mind thinking about bringing you into the world, and then you came, and it wasn't so bad.  Especially when I saw you, and seeing you for the first time my heart just about burst.  You were sooooo new, so precious, and so very very you.  I remember being amazed at how individually you, you were.  ANd two years later that is EXACTLY how you are- YOU, the one and only.
You have the cutest, sweetest, funniest little personality.  You've got big britches one might say.  You certainly know what you want and how you want it and usually have a plan on how you'll get it.

You have mastered the art of adorable persuasion and also the not so adorable tantrum persuasion- both have unequivocal success.
You are smart!
You are determined and tenacious.
You want to do whatever your siblings are doing and you are always hot on their trails.
Today for instance you JUMPED by yourself out of the van.  That's a big jump, but you did it, REFUSING my hand or any help. You did it, YOU DID IT!  You're amazing!

You and I have a  special bond.  There is no denying it.  Dad gets a little jealous/frustrated, and who can blame him?  I mean, being YOUR FAVORITE is kind of like winning the Oscar for BEST PERSON in Brynnly's world, and it is a TRUE HONOR.
Tonight as I laid in bed with you- you say, "lay down Binny" letting me know you want me to lay down with you at bed time.  I told you, "I love you with all my heart!!" and you responded in high little tones, "thank you!" and it cracked me up, I said, "You're welcome!" and you told me, "too" meaning I love you too and I gushed, "thank YOU" and you said "welcome!".  Can you believe it?  I mean the love is so deep and strong it is like swimming in a pool of pudding it is such a thick real feeling- I LOVE IT!  You are my girl and I tell you that all the time!

At 2 you:

Are an awesome fake sleeper.  You can close your eyes and not smile like no one I have ever seen before!  SOmetimes we have no idea if your sleeping or faking it in the car!

You also fall asleep real fast/ or all of a sudden.  I am probably the only one who can vouch for this as I am the only one you allow to put you down, but right now we listen to the Rapunzel sound track and when the boat song comes on it is like a switch with you and you'll close your eyes and before I know it your hands go all limp and you're out!  It's crazy!!

Speaking of Rapunzel, she is just one of your favorites right now, especially after our Disney vacation where you got to meet and by meet I mean EMBRACE for about 3 minutes straight! You also got to see her walking with Flynn Rider who you now call, "Fee Fider"  and I love it when you say that!

Other favorites right now are Dora, Sesame Street, and ALL the Princesses.  I love hearing you say their names: Rella, Seeping Booty, So White, Tana, Belle, Murmaid, and Punzel.

You refer to yourself in 3rd person!  We LOVE it!!  "Binny do it", "Lay Binny's Bed", "Binny's turkey cheese".

We had a little problem with you being interested in your poopy diapers, like touching it! EWWWW! So now we have this little routine at diaper change time that is so funny.  I taught you all the words I could think of to teach you that you don't touch poop.  I begin like this:

Mom: "You touch your poo-poo?"

Brynnly: "NO WAY!"

MOM: GERMY!

Brynnly" "Gimmy"

MOM: Nasty!

Brynnly: "Nassy"

MOM: P.U.

Brynnly: P.U!

MOM: Gross

Brynnly: goooooossssss!

We ahven't had any problems since! 

You're an excellent sleeper- who would have EVER thought??  You sleep pretty much through the night and lately have even been sleeping until 10AM!!!!  You are definitely a night owl rather than an early bird.  You still will take a nap, but not every day and not always very long.  A little snooze will get you through the day!

You really like nursery now.  Your little BFF Ryah Smurthwaite and Cali Allen are in there with ya which makes you super happy.

You're a good eater!  But there is nothing you like more in the world than- M&Ms, GUM, and lollipops!  You are a SUGAR GIRL!!  Fruit snacks are pretty high on your list and Lord knows POPSICLES!!  You drop EVERYTHING for gum or popsicles which you call "pop pops".

You have started liking to say your own prayers, or copy whoever is saying the dinner or family prayer (much to Baylor's chagrins)!!

You play very good and like baby dolls.  You also like to mess around with the Leapster.  You are very much interested in brushing hair, much to Lauren's chagrin since she is usually your first victim.  You LOVE markers, mostly because you so "innocently" end up coloring your legs, hands, and arms!

 I could go on forever, you are just uniquely you and it is sooooo amazing and wonderful.  You bring us so much joy, and we are so very grateful everyday for you!!  What a miracle you are.  Im grateful for your determination to be our daughter and coming to us, I wouldn't have been whole without you!  You fill me up with a love that is deep and powerful.  You are so special and holding you and kissing you I feel it all the time!  I love you with all my heart, life and soul. Happy Birthday Brynnly!!

Special Disneyland Memory

Hi Baby Girl,
It was sooooooo much fun taking you to Disneyland this year.  You will remember this for a long time. You were soooooo GOOD and had such a fabulous time.  You LOVED seeing the Princesses and made the Princess lunch fabulous!!

My favorite memory I hope to never forget was at the end of the night, we had waited for the World of Color water show for a long time.  It was a cool show, but not something your little one year old self was particularly interested by.  So you grabbed my face and turned my head to face your face and then I'd "rahhh" and you would lose your breath laughing so hard.  You then drew us cheek to cheek and watched the show with me like that.  My heart could have burst.  Being as close to you as possible, wrapped in my arms, cheek to cheek, watching a beautiful show of love, oh how grateful I am for you. You're my girl.  My baby.  I love you with all my heart.

You two are good little friends!  You are so similar in so many ways.  From your light, fine hair to your sensitive souls to your dance moves to your looks you two are definitely from the same mold.

You really like dressing alike too.  Lauren often gets you dressed and does it with such enthusiasm you are always willing to go along with her.  You are VERY girly and love getting dressed [up]. You (just like little lauren) LOVE skirts!

Oh. My. Goodness.  YOU TWO are cracking me up!  Lauren wanted curlers, so of course you did too.  Who's idea to pose this way is anybodies guess, all I know is you two got sass and it is so funny and darling!

You are always naked!!

You were very interested in the curlers and I think they may have even stayed in your hair for about 30minutes!  ;)

Summer FUN

You guys all went thrift store searching with me and at the Goodwill you found this car and would not get out of it.  I was feeling generous and $6 was not going to break the bank, so it is now yours- to SHARE with brother....

We did some painting!
I think you might be behind in the creativity department, I may have been doing these things earlier with your siblings, but seeing as how you are my BABY, there is no rush.  You sure did like this though and were a little concerned with it getting all over you- like a GOOD GIRL, but it's all good, paint time is MESSY time.  ;)  This fall we'll be doing lots more when sisters are in school.

You have a new obsession with cutting using a knife!
Julia was  making egg salad so you got to cut up some eggs- happy day!
You like to cut play dough  and have been known to cut cheese and spread pb on your sandwich.

And yes my dear, it is summer, and you feel no obligation to clothing.
Maybe because you're beginning to potty train?  Maybe cause you're almost 2?
Whatever it is, your naked booty is all over the place!  And what a cute booty it is!

You say, "oh cum ooooon" and "oh my gush" both which crack me up.
You also say, "sorrwee mama" when you spill something or pee on the carpet, it is so precious. You say it with such sincerity, it melts my heart.  I love you so baby girl!

 You make the funniest faces and are such a total show off, it is hilarious!  You are super incredible girly and I love that!  You ask EVERY DAY, "suit, suit??"  You want to constantly be wearing this suit, which I think is completely precious and I would totally let you, but I want it to stay nice just until we go to the beach and then you can wear morning, noon, and night.

The other day Bay wanted strawberries on his fingers, so......of course you did TOO!

                                  

 You're so funny.

I love you so much Brynners.  You are so fun to have around.  You are a handful, but Im soooo HAPPY to have full hands, especially when they're full of YOU!  I would be missing you so much if you weren't here.  I just can't imagine life without you.  It was overwhelming to think about you and Baylor being so close, but it is entering the stage where from now on it is going to be awesome.  It was so hard there for a few months where you were both too little to understand being nice and sharing and taking turns.  But for the most part you have started to respect one another's boundaries and can have a lot of fun together- ESPECIALLY playing Dora and Diego.

I love hearing your little baby voice around the house.  You are a very good talker.  My favorite is when you say, "come on" or "wach mama or wach dada" and you do some cute little thing like a dance or jump on the couch.  You say your name, "Binny" or kind of like "Bindy" its pretty much adorable.  Often you just call yourself "baby".
And BEST of all is what a Mama's girl you are.  Oh you love me and it is the greatest thing in the world!!  You only let me change your diapers (lucky me right??) or wash your hands or get you dressed- although you do let Lauren dress you every now and then.  When I leave it is a holy break down.  Last week you ran all the way down the block after I drove away- so SAD!  Dad says you recover quickly, but still, my poor bes fwen!  You are making strides and Im sure next year at this time you won't be phased with my absence, so for now I gladly am honored to be your one and only whether it be changing a diaper or laying next to your in bed until you fall asleep, I am sooooo LUCKY to be your mama and your #1.
