FUNNY THINGS YOU SAY!

Ok, this story is a little embarrassing, but worth the blushing because it is soooo hilarious!
One morning I was in the kitchen ALONE, so I tooted.  Not a second later you and Baylor come in asking for cereal. I knew there was about to be a fall out.  You both got quiet and started sniffing, as if something just wasn't quite right.  You, having definitely decided something was very very wrong, plugged your nose and looked at Baylor and said, "I smell your butt."

Oh God, help me.  I died laughing!  Im sorry, but that is tear streaming FUNNY!


You say "duuuuuuh" with this sassy little stance and wiggle.
I love getting you up in the morning and smelling you, or snuggling up to you when we lay down, and one of those reasons is I can just breathe you in and I have started saying, "mmmm, you smell like my baby".  You then sniff me and say, "you mell my mama".  You're so CUTE!

You say "i love you too" even if you're the first one to say it.

Your voice right now is just that adorable little toddler voice that makes every single thing that comes out of your mouth darling.

    

You call everyone "baby pie" because we call you "mag pie", which you LOVE.  I worry a little you're going to be a baglady when you grow up, as you constantly have a grocery cart AND stroller FILLED with babies, blankets, purses, your coveted Elmo lunch box (which is filled with MORE stuff), books, cameras, play dishes....the list goes on, that you push around all over the  house, yelling at the top of the stairs when you want them brought down.

You are sooooo darling!

For...EVER, at least after the first 4 weeks of your life, I have been THE best most adored person in your life, and Im not going to lie, I have ATE it Up!  You have wanted...INSISTED that I do every single thing for you and would not tolerate anyone else help, soothe, or be near you.  This has made a certain someone very sad...Dad.  So imagine his delight when you have started to be like this with him...
  He is in heaven!  He can not believe how wonderful and amazing it feels to be accepted into that little heart of yours.  You two are turning into good buddies.  (My heart is trying not to be jealous).  We're still tight- you're MY GIRL!

You are up LATE with us quite often.  It is usually FUN!  We watch some tv and then you sleep with us, usually because we fall asleep before you!  DO you see how you've got your hand under Dad's face?  When I sleep with you in your bed, you always put your hand there.  It must be a comfort thing for you- a security feeling.  I LOVE IT!  It is so you!  

You have one incredible little personality and I love EVERY spark of it!

We got a new PUPPY!

 You love to squeeze the stuffin's out of him!

 He runs full force the other way when you come near him.

 It does not make you happy.

 You like to grab his face and say, "yook a me, yook a me!"  and then you laugh like crazy.

You are CRAZY and I love it!!

 You're also the sweetest!  A fun thing we do now is I sniff you real good and say, "mmmm, you smell like my baby!" Then you do the same and say, "you 'mell my mama!!"  and then we both crack up!

 This particular picture is just a snippet of the crazy things you do!  You were calling and calling me, I thought you were on the potty, when I come in I see you have somehow limbed on the counter and are yelling for dear life, cause you're stuck.  SERIOUSLY!  You crack me up!  SPeaking of potty- you are doing AMAZING!  You will even take off your diaper and go on the potty!!  SO we got you panties!!

I don't know what it is about you, you are so unique!  You are feisty!  You are funny!  You are INTO EVERYTHING!  Seriously I know when your siblings have been quiet I have thought, "I need to check on them", when you're quiet I get filled with dread and think, "OH no! Where is she and what is she doing?!?!"  You have clogged the toilet and the sink with toilet paper (your new found obsession since potty training like a CHAMPION!)  You LOVE LOVE LOVE playing in water.  You say, "wash hands?" and INSIST on pulling up a stool to the sink and play in it for a good 20 minutes, just filling up whatever dishes are near and pouring it out and repeating.  You will occasionally shout "SOAP!" and I give ya a little squirt.

You say things like, "what da hack!"  and "oh my gosh!"  YOU'RE TOO LITTLE TO SAY THOSE THINGS!  It cracks us up!  Another WEIRD thing you love saying, you got it from when your sisters were being goofy, but you love to say it cause you like to shake your hips when you say it- "ice cream man live?  chicka chick bum bum steet"  my favorite is HOW you say it and the way you say street!! Gotta get it recorded!

You are a BIG smiler.  You close your eyes and smile so big and do this funny little shake like you're laughing so hard on the inside, you let out little nasal laughs when you do it too.  You're too much!  You think everything is funny.

You copy Baylor like you're his mirror image, it is kind of NUTS.  ANYTHING he says or does you do it.  EVERYTHING!  You even stand up and pretend you're peeing like him and go, "pssssssss" with your mouth- sooooo inappropriately hilarious!

When you're tired you get a tad nasty.  You can give some pretty dirty looks and oh, you can have a fit, but luckily that doesn't happen often.

You're just the cutest little bug too.  EVERYONE at church comments on how adorable you are!  And you really are, everyday I just want to eat you up!!  It is CRAZY how beautiful you already are.

One thing not crazy is how MUCH I LOVE YOU!  I love you so much my head feels like it could explode.  When I hold you I want to squeeze you until you pop!  You're just so squishy and little and warm and snuggly and happy and sweet, I LOVE YOU!

You're growing up fast!  You're still my baby, and pretty much always will be, thankfully!!  You're amazing and wonderful and absolutely perfect!  I LOVE YOU LIKE CRAZY, MY WONDERFUL GIRL!

POTTY TRAINING!!!

You're doing soooo GREAT! 

Especially since this is all pretty much self motivated.

You recognize the feelings and tell us then we RUN to the potty and PRESTO- you're doing it!

The only thing I really do is keep you naked or at least bottomless and ask you every once in awhile.  The best thing about you, is whether you have to go or not you always say, "YES!" and we go and you go!  You're soooo EASY!  We don't even do potty treats most of the time because you are so inherently proud f yourself!  Your smile as you go and when you're done are so BIG (bigger than even the first picture above) they take over your whole face, it almost seems like you're going to BURST with excitement and pride!!  When you're done you run and tell EVERYONE and they cheer and clap and make you feel so good.  Brynners you're the BEST!!!  

WE LOVE YOU! AND ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!  GOOD GIRL!!

Some more FUN things about YOU right now...

You always "need" a "Banaid" I don't know why Princess Band Aids are better than stickers, for both you use just as decoration to your skin, but if you so much as have an itch you tell me you "nee a ban aid"!  You also always need a sippy cup to go to bed, you like "chake a melk" (chocolate milk) in it. Mom always has to lay down with you too until you fall asleep.  Well I usually fall asleep first but I go back to my bed around 1am when I wake up.  ;)  While we're laying there we have this sweet sweet ritual where I tell you how much I love you and you're my girl and you say, "Iluvtoo" or "dank you".  You like to put your hand on my face while you sleep too, it is the most gentle precious touch I have ever felt, it is like a conductor of your love and I feel your sweet strong love flowing from your hand to my cheek, straight to my heart.  I love you Brynnly Kathleen.

We love your new Minnie Mouse shoes.  You have started trying to put your own shoes on and your own pants.  You have come up to me a few times and showed me what you did all by yourself!  You are always soooo pleased with yourself and eat up my adoration and pride!!

you are a HAPPY girl!  you LOVE your siblings and mom and dad!!  you copy EVERYTHING Baylor does, which is good and bad.  you two have earsplitting screaming matches where you scream back and forth "YEEEEEEES! and NOOOOOOOOO!"  but you also run and imagine together and it is absolutely darling.

I Love You

I love your personality, your funny half closed eyes dance moves, your super girly way of playing, you love skirts and shoes and purses, you love  having your nails painted and hair done.  

You like to be involved in everything!

You make LOTS of messes, you always wipe your dirty sticky hands on your clothes!  (drives me nuts!!), you draw frequently on yourself with markers, you love love love baths with color dotz that change the water color, you love baby dolls and stuffed animals and always seem to be carrying something around with you.  You like it when i read to you and your favorite right now is Fergus and Pinkalicious.

You and Daddy are becoming better buds.

You are famous for saying, "no! mommy do it!", but you're getting more flexible.

You love finding the moon in the sky every night and always yell, "moooooon!" and point to it.

You are soooooo SMART!

Every single thing you say and do is precious and cute.

You are a miracle and a blessing and the love of my life!!!

I am so thankful for you, every single day I just thank God you're mine and here and we didn't miss out on having you!!

Brynnly Summer Update

You've started falling asleep ANYWHERE...

Its been especially entertaining when you do it in your seat at the table while you're eating!

You're just growing so much, it is exhausting!!  Funny girl.

 You LOVE Princesses!

Ever since Disneyland it has become an obsession.

You carry around stuffed Princess dolls constantly, and not just one at a time, all 5 at a time!

On this Friday (8/6) you got to go to a Princess Birthday Party so we dressed you up and you loved it.

You were absolutely ADORABLE!!

It makes me think, "This is my first party, but not my last!"

You are sooo full of personality!

You're adorable inside and out.

You are talking a TON!

You want to be FIRST to open or knock on a door, you have a FIT if someone is in front of you when we walk up to a door.

You are getting so close to potty training- you are fascinated with poop and ask to see your poop in your diaper every time we change you, "see Binny's poop in diaper" you  say.  I have to show you or you get so mad and when I do show you, you wince and say "ewwww".  You're funny!

 We took a road trip (your FIRST) to Arizona to be with your Cousin Kayla for her Mom's funeral.

It was a sad time, but you and your siblings helped make her feel happy.

She was so glad to meet you and hang out with us all!

 You were so good in the car...mostly.

You are a demanding little thing, but as long as we had GUM and other treats we were able to appease most of your freak outs.  You loved listening to a Dora CD and playing with Dad's phone, the "thnoopy" game.

 Once we'd been at it for 6 hours (not even the half way point) we took a break at the Monticello Temple and you were less than thrilled to have to get back in the car....

 Plus you wanted to go INSIDE the temple.

It was pretty funny...but sad too.

 Being with Kayla was AWESOME!

You took right to her instantly.

 Im so thankful for family!

Kayla is a blessing in our lives.  She is an amazing little girl, full of love and kindness.  I hope we can always be close to her.  You're so lucky to have a cousin!

Happy Birthday My Darling Baby Girl!
You are two!  Has it really been 2 whole years already?

It seems impossible that 2 years ago I was scared out of my mind thinking about bringing you into the world, and then you came, and it wasn't so bad.  Especially when I saw you, and seeing you for the first time my heart just about burst.  You were sooooo new, so precious, and so very very you.  I remember being amazed at how individually you, you were.  ANd two years later that is EXACTLY how you are- YOU, the one and only.
You have the cutest, sweetest, funniest little personality.  You've got big britches one might say.  You certainly know what you want and how you want it and usually have a plan on how you'll get it.

You have mastered the art of adorable persuasion and also the not so adorable tantrum persuasion- both have unequivocal success.
You are smart!
You are determined and tenacious.
You want to do whatever your siblings are doing and you are always hot on their trails.
Today for instance you JUMPED by yourself out of the van.  That's a big jump, but you did it, REFUSING my hand or any help. You did it, YOU DID IT!  You're amazing!

You and I have a  special bond.  There is no denying it.  Dad gets a little jealous/frustrated, and who can blame him?  I mean, being YOUR FAVORITE is kind of like winning the Oscar for BEST PERSON in Brynnly's world, and it is a TRUE HONOR.
Tonight as I laid in bed with you- you say, "lay down Binny" letting me know you want me to lay down with you at bed time.  I told you, "I love you with all my heart!!" and you responded in high little tones, "thank you!" and it cracked me up, I said, "You're welcome!" and you told me, "too" meaning I love you too and I gushed, "thank YOU" and you said "welcome!".  Can you believe it?  I mean the love is so deep and strong it is like swimming in a pool of pudding it is such a thick real feeling- I LOVE IT!  You are my girl and I tell you that all the time!

At 2 you:

Are an awesome fake sleeper.  You can close your eyes and not smile like no one I have ever seen before!  SOmetimes we have no idea if your sleeping or faking it in the car!

You also fall asleep real fast/ or all of a sudden.  I am probably the only one who can vouch for this as I am the only one you allow to put you down, but right now we listen to the Rapunzel sound track and when the boat song comes on it is like a switch with you and you'll close your eyes and before I know it your hands go all limp and you're out!  It's crazy!!

Speaking of Rapunzel, she is just one of your favorites right now, especially after our Disney vacation where you got to meet and by meet I mean EMBRACE for about 3 minutes straight! You also got to see her walking with Flynn Rider who you now call, "Fee Fider"  and I love it when you say that!

Other favorites right now are Dora, Sesame Street, and ALL the Princesses.  I love hearing you say their names: Rella, Seeping Booty, So White, Tana, Belle, Murmaid, and Punzel.

You refer to yourself in 3rd person!  We LOVE it!!  "Binny do it", "Lay Binny's Bed", "Binny's turkey cheese".

We had a little problem with you being interested in your poopy diapers, like touching it! EWWWW! So now we have this little routine at diaper change time that is so funny.  I taught you all the words I could think of to teach you that you don't touch poop.  I begin like this:

Mom: "You touch your poo-poo?"

Brynnly: "NO WAY!"

MOM: GERMY!

Brynnly" "Gimmy"

MOM: Nasty!

Brynnly: "Nassy"

MOM: P.U.

Brynnly: P.U!

MOM: Gross

Brynnly: goooooossssss!

We ahven't had any problems since! 

You're an excellent sleeper- who would have EVER thought??  You sleep pretty much through the night and lately have even been sleeping until 10AM!!!!  You are definitely a night owl rather than an early bird.  You still will take a nap, but not every day and not always very long.  A little snooze will get you through the day!

You really like nursery now.  Your little BFF Ryah Smurthwaite and Cali Allen are in there with ya which makes you super happy.

You're a good eater!  But there is nothing you like more in the world than- M&Ms, GUM, and lollipops!  You are a SUGAR GIRL!!  Fruit snacks are pretty high on your list and Lord knows POPSICLES!!  You drop EVERYTHING for gum or popsicles which you call "pop pops".

You have started liking to say your own prayers, or copy whoever is saying the dinner or family prayer (much to Baylor's chagrins)!!

You play very good and like baby dolls.  You also like to mess around with the Leapster.  You are very much interested in brushing hair, much to Lauren's chagrin since she is usually your first victim.  You LOVE markers, mostly because you so "innocently" end up coloring your legs, hands, and arms!

 I could go on forever, you are just uniquely you and it is sooooo amazing and wonderful.  You bring us so much joy, and we are so very grateful everyday for you!!  What a miracle you are.  Im grateful for your determination to be our daughter and coming to us, I wouldn't have been whole without you!  You fill me up with a love that is deep and powerful.  You are so special and holding you and kissing you I feel it all the time!  I love you with all my heart, life and soul. Happy Birthday Brynnly!!
