Our Fall Break in Hawaii was SPECTACULAR!

 

Our first stop was Pearl Harbor. It was very interesting to be there and learn about the events that took place. Here you and dad were looking at a sunken ship.

Then we headed to our house, got right into our suits and walked to the beach!

 

This is the most beautiful rainbow over the ocean! You and Julia were ahving a blast while Dad and the others learned to surf.

 

We snorkeled!

We hiked!

This was not your favorite activity as it was very humid, wet, and slippery but we still had fun.

 

After the hike we ate at Lulu's in Honolulu and then did some swimming!

 We took morning walks on the beach. It was a little cool in the mornings.

  

 

You made a lei crown on the beach! It smelled so good.

 

We got lots of yummy treats at Ted's and other shave ice places!

Look at your smile!! I love it!

We've had a lot of fun at different beaches. You love your tube too!!

We Got Shave Ice All Over The Island

I love that you trust Julia to take you out and snorkel. You two are such good buddies.

      

You and I did a kayak together.

You were the BEST partner because everyone else got out and climbed a tree and jumped in the gross water. Not us! EWWW! We stayed in our kayak and took pictures. 

    

The next day we went paddle boarding and you went with dad this time.

He took you guys right into the spot they told us not to go and you were so scared.

He got you guys out safe and all was well....crazy dad!

Mom, Dad, and Lauren did some cliff jumping and you enjoyed the beautiful calm clear waters in your favorite float.

We visited Waimea Waterfall to swim by a waterfall.

We had to walk through the tropical preserve to get to it. It was all so gorgeous!

        

  

While dad took Lauren and Baylor surfing, you and Jules played on the beach! My little mermaids!

    

Check out that incredible rainbow over you guys! Hawaii is so incredible!

We went to the Dole Pineapple farm!

 

At the temple we got some nice pictures.

We loved ending most nights at the PCC to eat dinner at the food trucks. All of it was soooo yummy and we had such a great time talking and chilling out together. 

      

 

Spent an evening swimming after dinner at Hukilau Beach.

I love our family and I love palm trees by the ocean! This is pretty much perfection. 

We explored a little ways from this spot and found sea turtles!!! 

You were not very excited about seeing sea turtles. They were in a shallow area that was rocky. 

You kept yourself busy while we watched them and got in the water with them.

Our final day.

We were sad to say good-bye to our sweet little beach bungalow!

 

 We stopped at Aulani so you could see it. You lament that you can't remember staying there, so we at least brought you to see it for yourself.

Then it was time to say good-bye....for now.

Ada Johnson

Kristen brought her new baby over tonight.

It was so sweet to watch you hold her. I don't think you've ever held a new born before. You did very good! You have a natural maternal instinct, and it is so sweet when I see it come out.

 

Student of the Month!

We rode our bikes to school with you this morning so you could have breakfast with the principal because you were chosen as Student of the Month for the trait of COOPERATION!

WAY TO GO BRYNNERS!!!

 

You said you were surprised you were chosen because you're "bossy".  I think what you think is "bossy" is really just leadership, confidence, and intelligence. How nice that your peers recognize that as well and also see you as cooperative.

I felt a little sad leaving you at this breakfast where you didn't know anyone. If there was ever an award for BRAVE, you deserve that one too!! I am so incredibly proud of you my love!!

Vegas Baby!

You and Lauren and I drove to Vegas to drop Willie off at Grandma's for when we go to Hawaii.

GIRLS TRIP!!!!

We had fun driving. We stopped and got Chipotle for lunch. There was a traffic jam, but I got us around it.

 

Once we got into Vegas we stopped at the 7 Magic Mountains.

Some dude painted huge rocks, stacked them and now it is a picture destination!

They are some pretty awesome pictures!

I love your new permanent teeth have come in and so nicely.

Got locked out of the van at the temple.

We said bye to Willie.

On our way home we wore our matching shirts!! It is still very much summer, even if we have started school. These are our last waves of summer....coming in Hawaii!!!

We can't wait!
