It's OPRAH!

You got to choose someone you admired and do a project learning about them.

It culminates with this "wax museum" where you dress up as your person and tell a little but about them when the museum patrons stop in front of you.

GIRL! You are too much!!  You did absolutely phenomenal!!! From your hair and clothes to your memorized speech, you killed this!! I was so incredibly proud and ridiculously entertained! Everyone who came to you just laughed and laughed because you were so animated and bold! 

Brynnly Kathleen, you are by far theeeee coolest kid EVER!

This was our test day to see if we could get your hair to look like Oprahs!

Ha!!! I think we did it pretty good...for a white girl.

Spring Break

We get 2 weeks off for Spring Break here, so we kicked it off right away with a little trip not too far and went through a small Redwood Forest then onto Monterey Bay!

The Redwoods really were spectacular!

We arrived in Monetery Bay right before Sunset.  We stopped at Chipotle and Trader Joe's (our favorites) and got dinner and dessert to eat on the beach at Sunset.  It was pretty epic! 

The next morning after a glorious sleep in our motel, we headed towards the main area of town and I was totally winging it. As hard as it sounds, it really is the best way to vacation, just let the good things unfold.  IT ALWAYS WORKS OUT!  I found a garage to park in and before we got out I felt really prompted to look up whale watching.  With little hesitation, (other than the money there was no hesitation), I signed us up! We walked toward the water and as we got close we came to a bike rental shop.  Riding bikes along the coast was at the top of my list of things I wanted to do...we even brought Baylor and Brynnly's bikes to offset rental costs.  We went back to the van and got their bikes, then rented me and the girls each one and we were off!

Of course Guchi Bear came along. You and Lauren even started an Instagram account for him.

We boarded the Whale Watching boat and headed out to sea!

It was such a new experience! We saw a pod of whales and could see their tails and head pop up a few times. It was very exciting. The ride back was COLD and rough. I got a little nauseous but just held tight to you and we made it! 

I threw caution to the checkbook one more time and opted for a super fancy dinner at this shore side restaurant.  Lauren ran down to the beach to take our picture.  We're too much!

I don't know who was more freaked out about the pelican....Baylor or Guchibear!?!

We started our last day at the Dennis The Menace Park

We had a lot of fun all running and playing.  It is a super cool park.

What a wonderful CALIFORNIA Spring Break!

We spent a day exploring our new city!

We ate in Chinatown and you got this new hoodie that you LOVE!

I think we're going to have FUN living in California!

Valentine's Daddy Daughter Date

Brynnly has been so very excited about this special night with her dad.

FIRST we had to go shopping for a new outfit.

We went to Target where I was sure we'd find a beautiful dress.

Girlfriend instead fell in love with this jumpsuit.  Like IN. LOVE.

She turned her nose up at every skirt and dress.

I gave in as long as we could find a cute scarf to tie around her waist. These are the results:

Finally the night arrived and I did her hair and helped her get ready.  It was very exciting!

She felt GORGEOUS!!!!

And she was!!

She went upstairs for Ryan to see her coming down the stairs...

He was blown away!

 They looked so perfect together!

They went to the dance, then out to dinner at Panda, her favorite spot.

Then they danced some more and came home.

Christmas Party!!

 Brynnly is my most excited partier child!  She always wants to have a party!  I LOVE IT!

Julia had a going away, Lauren and Baylor are both going to celebrate their birthdays, so obviously Brynnly needed a party before we leave all her little friends!

Christmas was the PERFECT reason to party!!

She invited all her bestest friends...

I loved prepping for this party!!

Little graham cracker gingerbread houses for them to each decorate and Brynnly had the idea to give them gift bags full of the materials they would need to make a couple crafts! SO CUTE!

These donuts were my favorite!  And The Grinch skewers were a big hit!

We played a gift exchange game that was super fun and funny because they had to switch the gift they were holding to the left or right depending on what I said in my poem.

We also played a candy cane relay which was so fun and exciting!

The girls all enjoyed the photo booth too!

I love parties, and I love little girls,  I love Christmas, and I MOST of all love BRYNNLY!!!
