Baptism

This is the last baptism in our family.  It felt so crazy that this day has come.  I remember Brynnly being an infant at Julia's baptism, and now here we are on her special day.
These were the invites I made.
We didn't really give them out...I was wondering why I was making them, other than I can't help myself.  We had taken these pretty pictures in the Spring when she had all her teeth and the beautiful lilacs were in bloom, and I wanted to make something with them.

The morning of her baptism she wanted very much to help make the cakepops...she did more than just lick the spoons too.  I rolled and dipped, then she covered the white chocolate in purple sugar and white chocolate pearls.  (I am so bummed we didn't get any pictures of the lovely purple spread).
We also made rice krispie treats.

We got to the church about 30 minutes early and she walked to the font to watch it filling up.
The room was so steamy.
We went to get some pictures...her and her daddy.  So cute!  With Jesus setting the example in the background.

We took some outside in that gorgeous dress!!  I love this dress and I love how it is so Brynnly.  Each pf the girls had their own styles with their dresses and I love that.  I love celebrating their uniqueness and beauty.  All those ruffles, layers, and the summer cut of a tank top was just perfect.  Brynnly is definitely my daughter with the most layers to her.
We got a wonderful family picture.
Everyone was so happy for this special day and it shows.
I love that about our family, how we all rally and are so happy for one another and love to celebrate each other.  I especially love that this is our first generation church family.  Brynnly is my last child to be baptized but from here on out, all the ordinances will just keep growing our family and more wonderful people and darling miracle children will keep getting added and we will keep being there to support one another.

Lauren's BFF Grace was with us this weekend!
YAY!!  Our friends are like family!!

I came in and found sisters helping Brynnly get dressed!  HOW SWEET IS THAT!?!?  I loved it!
I know it will be the same way on their wedding days.  Sisters are so special.
And these three are FUNNY too!!!
We have the best times together!

The dress.

The pantsuit.

Mama and her girl!
I love you so much Brynnly Kathleen!!!!
It was amazing to me that my BABY girl is getting baptized.  But you have grown up so beautifully so smart and so good.  You love Jesus and have the most tender heart.  I am glad you want to follow Him and stand as a witness for Christ.  I hope you remember this day and use it as a great starting block for learning about Christ and how He can work in your life and help you have peace and joy.

You two looked so cute together in your suits!!
You are teh biggest BFFs!!!

Julia gave a wonderful talk about baptism and gave you a KitKat to remember your promises.
She loves you and was so proud of you.
FINALLY it was your turn to be baptized!
All the kids came to watch YOU!
It was so fun....
Dad gave you some final advise about getting in the water.  You soon found out why the room felt steamy, that water was H.O.T!!!
Dad showed you how to hold him so you would be all good going under the water.  He said the prayer and you did it!
Just LOOK at that HUGE SMILE as you came out of the water!  You were so amazed and delighted and happy!!!  It was awesome helping you get back into your dress.  You kept saying you couldn't believe how wet you were, which I thought was so funny.  You even asked if Julia, Lauren, and Baylor got this wet.  Um, yes, of course.  What did you think happened when you went under water?  It was just darling.  A total submersive experience.
Lauren then gave the talk on the Holy Ghost.
Mom helped her with this talk and she gave you little gifts with each thing that the Holy Ghost does for you.  Your favorite gift was the gift of comfort and you were given a big fluffy white blanket with your name embroidered.
You were so adorable.  You were given gifts from Patti Ranous and took home your pretty purple and white tulips.
This is my favorite picture!
You two are THE best!

To celebrate we thought we'd keep with the wet theme and took everyone to the Brighton Oasis.
Such good times and fun memories!
That night you got to cuddle up in your new blankie and were one blessed little angel girl.
