Terrible TWO

Brynnly you make Dad and I wonder sometimes.

You are pretty aggressive....compared to your siblings.  Sometimes we wonder if it because you are the youngest of 4, have a brother, or have a brother 17 months close in age?  All three of those scenarios involves Baylor, so I think he has had the biggest effect on your personality.

You have a lot of "angst" in you.  You are a BIG squeezer/pincher.  Every time you do it I tell you, "SOOOOOFT" and you release your grip and smile a crazy smile.   The worst is when you squeeze our face with your fingernails.

You are easily annoyed and have about 1.5 seconds of patience.

You're a LOUD cryer and BIG frustrater   If you get hit you'll hit back and scream your head off about how "he hit you".  Thankfully very very little hitting and being mean goes on.  More teasing and purposefully making one mad happens most often.  Baylor has worked (and continues to) so hard on being nice to you, patient with you, and to come get me when you do something instead of just getting rough with you.  He is a good big brother and about 80% of the time you two are BEST BUDDIES!

You two play "Mom & Dad" all. the. time.
You two love running running running around the house- through the kitchen and around the dinning room into the living room and on and on in a circle- laughing, screaming, chasing, it is so cute (a little scary that one of you will fall or run into a wall, but usually you're well and safe).
You two like taking baths together.
You two like playing "cooks" together.
You two always always always (especially in the car) say, "lets play 'Im Thinking'"  you get so excited and say "YESSSSSS".  You love that game!!
You even play cars with him once n a while.

Being two is all about learning to control your emotions and gain patience,  Im on my way.  ;)

I LOVE you.  I sometimes wonder if that "angst" is something you learned from me since that is how I feel when I just have to give a 1000 kisses and hug you so tight because I LOVE you sooooo much I could just explode!

All I know is no matter what I think you're wonderful.  Even when your "twoness" comes out, you're 100% Brynnly and I am thankful for you every.single.day.every.single.moment.

Mommy saw that this show was coming and wanted to take you sooooo bad!!  Both your sisters have been to these shows at about your age and I just knew you'd love it!  We are supposed to be saving all our monies so I wasn't sure if we should do it, I was so torn.  In the end Lauren's sweet plea on your behalf tipped the scales in your favor and before we knew it, we were heading to Denver, you two decked out in your finest Cinderella dresses!!!

You obviously didn't have a clue what you were in for, but you knew we were going to see your favorite people- PRINCESSES!

You were mesmerized from the second we got to our seats!
 
I watched your faces way more than I did the show- it was priceless.

We got to sneak closer at intermission to get seats that would give us a more up close look at the Princesses.  You were loving it all!

It was such a special afternoon.

You 2 are my little special Princess Girls!

I love you so much and love how magical this stage of your little lives is!

You really really wanted a toy that they sold, but I had to draw a limit. We instead went to Walmart after and you both got these cool Princess ribbon wands and were happy as a clam for about 90% less than at the arena.

 The best part now, a week later, is almost every day since at least once a day you'll say, "member we went to that show?"  "and we weared our cinda-rella drwess?"  "What one was your?"  which means 'which was your favorite part of the show?'  You have told me your favorite parts have been, "Lion King", "Jasmine", and "The Prwincessess!".  I just love that you keep thinking about it.  Even in seeing these pictures you were so excited.  On the blog you looked at them and said, "I can't hear it!"  I explained they're just pictures and you can't hear it, and you said your classic Brynnly response to EVERYTHING..."But I WANT TOOOOOO!"  Sorry Charlie.

I love you Brynnly girl and I just am so happy we were able to go do this.  You're little 2 year old Princesses loving self deserves nothing less!  If you knew this was in town you would have for sure insisted on going, so glad we went even without your determination.  You're one in a million and I love you exactly for who you are!!!

Beautiful Brynners

 Tonight you were dressing up (as usual) in a wedding dress, so I went and got my bridal veil for you to use.  You liked it, and looked so darn beautiful in it.  I think it is pretty special that my baby girl was wearing the same veil that I did on my wedding day.

 I love how you pose too. I don't tell you to do these poses, you naturally do them.  You have a pretty weird aversion to looking at the camera when I ask you to, but with enough prompting and calling your name, I can usually get a couple, and these were just perfect.

You were VERY excited about Julia's birthday party.  She had a Spa theme.  You my dear love nail polish something fierce!  There was no way you were going to wait your turn, so you took matters into your own hands- literally.

I love how toddler you look here.  Your bright eyes, big pretty smile, little teeth showing, crazy wispy hair, tiny little hands, and the pure joy on your face at the prospect of eating that cupcake.  You're such a cutie!!  Such a personality!!

I am appreciating every day with you.  I notice how little and baby you still are.  It is hard since you talk so well (but I do looove the baby voice, the way things don't come out perfectly clear or even remotely correct) and have such big ideas (like while I was in the shower you came in my bathroom and with wicked sly eyes and a smile grabbed my deodorant and looked hopefully for approval of it's use.  When I caved you pulled your arm out of the neck hole of your nightgown and put the smelly stuff in your armpit, then proceeded to do the same thing with the other arm.)  You are ahead of your years for sure.  But it only makes you more adorable and my baby through and through!

You are surely one of the girls!

You love all things girly and beautiful, because that is who you are!

NO! NOT YOU!!!!!!

You cry almost every single night.  Sometimes you have a bad dream, sometimes you have to go potty, sometimes you just wake up and don't want to be alone.  Usually I go to you, but sometimes I am so tired I ask Dad to go and try to calm you down or bring you to me.  And it just goes to show how tired I am because it NEVER works, at least not at first.  Every single time he comes in to you, you FA-REAK out and SCREAM..."NOOOOO! NOT YOUUUUUU!!!"  followed by, "I WANT MOOOOMMY!!!!!!!"  It makes me laugh to think about.  Sometimes it makes me laugh right then and there and I can then gather the strength to come put an end to your madness   Poor dad.  He's a good sport about it though, really.  I think I would be quite miffed at you if I were him.  But he gets it; you is MY girl!

Brynners you are just soooooo cute and funny right now!  I am LOVING you at 2 and 1/2!

We have started to be able to put cutie pie pig tails in your hair.
You usually only hang with them for a few hours then you insist on pulling them out and it gives you the CRAZIEST hair.  You feel beautiful 100% of the time no matter what directions you hairs are going, what's stuck all over your face, or combination of stripes, polka dots, or characters you're wearing.  You are you and you're completely unique and WE LOOOVE YOU!!!!

A favorite thing we do now is go swimming at the Rec Center.  I work out for an hour and you and Baylor go to the childcare (Play Center we call it).  Then I take you guys swimming.  Oh we have fun. I love it!!  We have a great little routine.  First we swim together in the big pool.  You guys wear floaties and practice  "scoop and kick, scoop and kick", jumping into me, and motorboat.  Then after about 20 minutes we jump in the lazy river and play "tag you're it", then we do the logs, which I hold your hand as you walk across, you might then play in the kiddie pool, then you dry off and wait for me while I hop in the hot tub for a couple minutes.  You guys like to watch me get blasted by the jets and you like to have me scoop up the hot water in my hands for you to touch.  We head home, watch Caillou have grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch, and I clean up then we get sisters from school and its been a day!
Simple and sweet!  I love you sooooo much!  I love spending our days together...and nights!  ;)

When you do something you're not supposed to you say real fast, "saw-wee saw-wee saw-wee"!  How can I get upset when that funny little apology falls out of your mouth?!?  You did it today when I came to your bath and saw you had ONCE AGAIN spilled all the soap in the tub!  You have squirted an entire bottle of bubble bath, shampoo, and now baby soap in your tub.  When am I going to learn to REMOVE the soaps from your reach!?! SAW-WEE!!!

 You have the MOST fiesty, sparkly, funny, intense, lovey personality EVER!  You are THE BEST!

You love swimsuits with all your heart!

You decided to make your own fun in the leftover snow!  Love your golden shoes, perfect for shoveling.

Valentine's Mommy School Party

Brynnly Kathleen you are just awesome!

Today we were laying down next to each other and brother came and laid on top of me and you got so mad!  You squealed, "top it! see's my bes fwen!"

I had to explain that Baylor is my best friend too, but you weren't buying it.

You and I ARE best friends- always have been, always will be!

Thank you for loving me so fiercely, you bring me such happiness!

Right now one of the things I love about you is how you drop the "s" sound on all s words.

Feb.4 a day at the zoo-
I just love you in this coat- especially when you put your hands in the pockets, it is so cute!

You are OBSESSED with Princesses!

You went through a little stint in Dec/Jan where you had more accidents than ever before.  In complete frustration after months of not having any accidents I threatened you with NO BIRTHDAY PARTY.  You have been planning your birthday ever since Baylor was planning his, and of course you want nothing but a Princess party.

Your accidents have decreased immensely and today you said, 

"We don't go pee in our panties. We go pee in da potty. And we get birsday parties!"

You betcha good girl!!

You are a spectacular dancer.  When you hear music you just can not help yourself.  You start shaking that bootie and are all rhythm!   The bets part of your dancing though, your facial expressions!  HOLY MOLY!  You can keep your eyes halfway open and have this smug look on your face, like you know you're the bomb.com dancer!  I would die laughing watching you dance, but Im not allowed to laugh or you get super embarrassed, so I hold it in and just cheer you on.

You have gotten Little People Princesses for Christmas and play with them daily.  You dance around them, talk for them and to them, your imagination is incredible!  You can play with them for hours, all by yourself!!  And I love watching you.  It especially tickles me when I catch some of the cute things you say or watch you dance with them.  You often pair them ip with each other to dance.  You're just crazy smart!  You love this little princess camera and pretend to take pictures.  You are constantly in princess dress-up dresses.  Yep, it is usually about 34 degrees outside and your traipsing around the house in nothing but a tank-top tulle and sparkly thread dress and outrageous little teal and gold sparkling mini heels with a Princess Jasmine amulet on the top surrounded with golden thread shags.  You love love love bags and carry them around filled with your "guys" and squinkies, sunglasses and camera.  Usually with a few babies in tow too.

And you are going to be one LOVING mama!

You are fiesty and got lots of soul, but when it comes to those babies you are super gentle.  You cover them up, I mean cover them completely, heads and all and go round shushing us, telling us, "the babies are seeping!!"  You are pretty much the most darling hilarious adorable creature ever created and I am so very very thankful you're MINE!

And I have to include these last 2 pictures b/c as I go through pictures it is looking at your funny, crazy, spunky expressions that just crack me up!  You have so much life, so much energy, so much joy inside you it just bursts out of you!  You know you're something else and that is part of what makes you so awesome!
